Abstract: The subject of the study is to assess the status quo of engineering and consulting activities, their regulatory framework and economic efficiency, and to consider prospects of such development in Ukraine. System analysis and comparative analysis of the international standards FIDIC and ISO/IEC 17024 are involved in the research methodology, statistical methods in determining the cost of engineering and consulting services. The study results confirm that implementing the standards for construction projects consulting support can significantly improve the quality and decrease risks related to such projects. It was found that integrating digital technologies and automation of engineering and consulting processes can significantly improve the management of construction projects but require additional investment and staff training. The study also points to the need to develop mechanisms for financing consulting services in construction, which will attract international investment and increase the efficiency of government infrastructure programmes.
