INDUSTRIAL AND MANUFACTURING ENGINEERING AS THE BASIS OF QUALITY MANAGEMENT IN HIGH-TECH PRODUCTION WITH THE IMPLEMENTATION OF GREEN AND SOCIAL INNOVATIONS

Abstract: This paper examines the role of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering (IME) as a methodological foundation for quality management in high-tech production environments, which is implemented within the context of digital transformation and the adoption of green and social innovations. The strategic value of high-tech manufacturing systems in forming the economy's innovative potential, generating technological spillovers, and supporting competitiveness is substantiated. The essence and restrictions of classical quality management systems with their application to complex cyber-physical production environments are disclosed, and the conceptual foundations of their transformation within the Quality 4.0 paradigm are characterised. Engineering approaches and the tools of IME are described from the position of ensuring product quality at the strategic, tactical, and operational levels of production systems management. The methodological basis of the research is formed by the system, interdisciplinary, and structural & functional approaches. Other methods employed include theoretical analysis of scholarly literature and materials of international organisations, comparative and content analysis, induction and deduction, and conceptual modelling of synergetic effects of integrated managerial systems. The scientific value of this work lies in the comprehensive study of the interaction of engineering approaches, quality management systems, and principles of sustainable development in the environment of high-tech production. Conceptual outlines of the integrated system of quality management are offered. It combines the capabilities of IME, traditional QMS, and green and social innovations, ensuring the simultaneous achievement of operational, chain, environmental, and social quality of products based on a joint digital platform.
